Hamas's Gaza-based leadership challenged on Wednesday a Palestinian reconciliation deal signed by the Islamist group's political chief in exile and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas of the rival Fatah movement.
Bringing divisions within Hamas to the surface, the group's "Change and Reform" Gaza parliamentary bloc came out against a key clause in the pact under which Abbas would serve both as president and prime minister of a future Palestinian Authority government.

"We call upon the parties who signed and those who sponsored Palestinian reconciliation to reconsider and ... not to bypass Palestinian law," the parliamentary bloc said in a statement, arguing that a dual presidential-prime ministerial role for Abbas would be illegal.

Hamas is like the Republican Party in the United States or the Likud party in Israel. The ultra right wing warmongers that want to dictate instead of negotiate. Finally one of the Hamas leaders who is not dead by Israeli’s assassins or in an Israeli jail because he is living in exile. He wants to try to negotiate with the Fatah party and the Israeli government closes the door on any future negotiation for peace with the Palestinians. It gets back to the golden rule of war “Divide and Conquer.” So, let us get the story telling right. David

That is absolutely absurd.

Apparently you are unfamiliar with the Hamas Charter. Nor are you aware of the endless rockets being aimed at Israeli civilians - all acts of war and all in violation of civilized norms.

you are incorrect, the republican party has no genocidal policy toward the Jewish people. Hamas in fact, does.

That has to be the @!$%#tiest attempt at derailing a topic that I've seen in a month.

A good start for today's dumbest comment on newsvine, globalcrier. Congrats.

This is why I was never too worried about this "unity" deal.

They last about a day or two at best. The PA and Hamas hate each other very nearly as much as they both hate Israel.
