Given the apparently intense interest of Sweden's Aftonbladet in organ trafficking and Palestinians as indicated by its August 17 feature story alleging grotesque Israeli conduct in procuring organs from Palestinians, editor Jan Helin and culture editor Asa Linderborg have been strikingly silent about an October 21, 2009 AFP story on a similar topic. This one concerned the arrest and extradition of 11 Jordanians from Egypt to Amman for illegal organ activity related to impoverished Palestinians. It noted that a recent Jordanian government study "of 130 cases in which kidneys were sold, [found] nearly 80 percent of of 'donors' were Palestinians from Baqaa in northwest Amman, the largest refugee camp in the country."
